GRADUATION DAY-2010
10th Graduation Day was celebrated with delight on 10th April, 2010 at Shree Sarasswathi Vidhyaah Mandheer with enormous blessings of valuable and resourceful Chief Guest Shri. V. Balachandran, Additional D.G.P.
The ceremony set off with prayer. Mrs. M.S. Padmavathi HOD, Department of English welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Managing Trustee and Correspondent and Shri. S. Mohandoss, Secretary felicitated the Chief Guest. The Correspondent presented the Annual Report, 2009-10. In her report she highlighted the Academic Excellence and proficiency gained by the vidhyans in extracurricular activities. “There was a spectacular effort shown by the teachers and the students to achieve the vision of the institution,” she said.
The Chief Guest then conferred graduation status to 83 UKG children by distributing Graduation Certificates. He also gave away the prizes and proficiency certificates to the students. The Management also honoured the best parents who instigated the children to face the every day’s challenges.
The Chief Guest in his inspiring speech recalled his earlier visit to this institution and appreciated the enormous efforts put by the management and the staff in the field of education. He reiterated the fact that “Charity begins at home and parents should play a vital rote in moulding the children. History and literature should be taught with deep sense of appreciation,” he said. He emphasized the triple code of life style such as, “Thinking, Planning and Executing” so that today’s children would become the best administrators of the future. Children should work hard to achieve greatness. He also pointed out that Chief Ministers, Prime Ministers and Presidents sleep less and work more to bring prosperity to the society and the nation. Both parents and teachers should inculcate good habits among the children and make them to understand the real meaning of secularism to create a cast free, strong and united society and also to create pollution free environment, he added.
The cultural programme, showcased by the students earned a sense of humour, coordination and team spirit. It was about “Vismaya Saptha”. It was a colourful, glamorous and eye catching non-stop dance drama. The programme evoked emotions, memories, instances of value, nobility among the individuals of different religions, and communities of the entire world.
Mr. B.H. Murugan, Editor & Curriculum in-charge, proposed a vote of thanks. Finally the curtain came down with the National Anthem. |
