The B.M.K. Jubilee Hall at SSVM™ Mettupalayam buzzed with energy on 5 December 2024, as Grade 1 learners presented the vibrant Sankofa Celebration: A Journey Reflecting on Roots to Make Dreams Take Shoots. Presided over by Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Correspondent, and Mr. Mohandoss, Secretary, the event highlighted family unity, gender equality, and healthy living through captivating performances.

Complementing the theatrical presentation were melodious renditions of The Family Song and The Earth Song, a Sankofa-themed tribal dance, and the interactive Bone Dance featuring enthusiastic parent participation adding an element of camaraderie and joy to the gathering.

Parents, moved by the profound lessons imparted during the event, expressed their appreciation for the vision of Dr. Manimekalai Mohan and the creativity of the students. They lauded the emphasis on family bonds, traditions, and a sense of growth, making it a cherished experience.
