Earth Hour 2025: Raising Awareness for a Sustainable Future

SSVM Institutions recently observed Earth Hour, a global movement that emphasizes the importance of environmental conservation.

On March 22, 2025, the institution hosted a thought-provoking program, ‘Be Water Wise,’ at the Dr. BMK Auditorium. The event featured three expert speakers from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), who shared valuable insights on environmental conservation, wildlife preservation, and the global water crisis.

The speakers highlighted the alarming facts about the world’s water supply, emphasizing that only 0.98% of the world’s water is available for consumption. They urged the audience to adopt sustainable practices and use water wisely.

Students actively participated in the program, engaging in discussions and pledging to make a positive impact on the environment. To mark Earth Hour, they participated in a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to environmental conservation.

The collaboration with the WWF team promoted environmental sustainability and fostered a culture of responsibility among students. SSVM Institutions remains committed to continuing its efforts in environmental conservation and sustainability.
