The 13th Annual Sports day -2013 was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm on 24 July, 2013 at the Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore. Students of SSVM Institutions set a splendid performance on that day. The colourful pageantry with vibrant energy marked the Athletic meet right from the start to finish, various dills like Dumbbells, Pom- Pom, Taekwondo and mass drill performed by boys and girls was simply exceptional in execution. The parade saw the four houses marching in clockwork precision led smartly by the SSVM Mettupalayam and SSVM World School Brass and Pipe Bands.
The Annual Sports Day was graced by the Chief Guest Ms. Arunima Sinha, the National Football and Volleyball player, and also the first Indian woman repute to scale the Mount Everest on 21 May, 2013. In her motivational talk about her journey from the ‘Railway tracks to the Everest, she stressed the need for facing challenges with courage, passion and intensity. Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, the Managing Trustee and Correspondent, Mr. S. Mohan Doss, the Trustee and Secretary felicitated the Chief Guest.
